Ageratum*
This annual does best in full sun to part shade. We carry Ageratum in 6-packs and flats.
Alyssum
Sweet William
This is your perfect annual for early spring! Thrives in cool temperatures, and will last all summer in partial shade. We carry purple, white, and pink varieties in 6 packs or flats.
Angelonia*
This annual loves loves loves the heat! So, do not forget to plant these in full sun! It is drought tolerant for you forgetful waterers, and grows up to 14 inches. We carry these in 4-inch pots.

Begonia Care
Begonias are a tropical plant. They are very heat tolerant and do best when planted in shade, or an area that gets less than 6 hours of sunlight per day. We carry these in 6 packs, flats, and 4-inch pots.
Bacopa
This is your perfect annual if you love vines and a pop of color! Scopia Bacopa are a trailing annual that thrive in full sun, between 4 and 6 hours per day. We carry white, pink, and purple varieties in 4-inch pots.
Bidens
Bidens typically flower from May through October. Relatively low maintenance, Bidens prefer low maintenance and prefer a full sun location, with a minimum of four hours per day. They make ideal candidates for hanging baskets or window boxes! We carry these in 4-inch pots.
Bouganvilla
Bougainvillea are native to South America, so love full, hot sun. These trailing flowers do best in a hanging basket. One fun fact about Bougainvillea is that while categorized as annuals, they can be winterized to come back the following summer. We exclusively sell Bougainvillea in hanging baskets.
Calibrachoa
Million Bells
The most popular annual every season! Million Bells love full sun (6+ hours per day), and will trail down planters or hanging baskets. We offer these in 4-inch pots and hanging baskets.
Cleome
Cleome flowers grow best in full sun, as shady conditions can make them grow too tall and topple over. Cleomes make a great addition to your cut flower garden, and will typically flower in mid to late June. We carry these in 6 packs or flats.
Cosmo*
If you typically neglect to water your flowers, Cosmos are for you! Their only requirement is that you plant them in an area that gets 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. This annual has colorful, daisy-like flowers that sit atop long stems. They will typically bloom from early summer through the first frost. They are major pollinator attractors, bringing birds, bees and butterflies to your front door! We carry these in 6 packs and flats.
Celosia
Cattails
These ornamental annuals love full sun and require at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sun per day. These do best in a garden bed, rather than a container and will provide abundant blooms all season long. Be sure to deadhead those faded flowers to keep the plant clean and to encourage more blooms! We carry these in 6-packs and flats.
Creeping Jenny
While a perennial at heart, most people treat creeping jenny as an annual to add green foliage to their planters and hanging baskets. This vining plants does best in partial shade to full sun, and requires at least 3 hours of direct light per day. By the end of summer their trails will reach up to 12 inches long. Be sure to keep their soil moist!
Cuphea
Cigarette Plant
This annual is Cuphea is a low-maintenance annual that blooms from late spring until frost without needing deadheading. While the flowers of this plant may be small, they more than makeup for their size in quantity. Cuphea loves hot, sunny days and well-drained soil, so be sure to plant it somewhere with 6 or more hours of sun per day. If you are a hummingbird lover, these are for you. These firecracker-like flowers are filled with nectar and attract pollinators from early spring until fall. If you love hummingbirds, hummingbirds love Cuphea. We carry these in 4-inch pots and hanging baskets.
Coleus
Coleus has long been considered a shade plant but the best leaf color is achieved with morning sun and a tad degree of afternoon shade. Most of our varieties do well in both shade and part-sun. Remember, if you plant Coleus in an area that gets more than 6 hours of sun, you will need to water these more frequently. Avoid overly damp soils, which can cause leaf drop and encourage disease. To maintain plant form, pinch back any flower formation. We carry Coleus in 6-packs, flats, and 4-inch pots, as well as hanging baskets.
Dianthus
Dianthus serve as both annuals and perennials. When planting dianthus, look for a location with full sun, ideally in a location with six or more hours of sun per day. If that's not an option, partial shade is suitable, too, so long as it gets at least 4 hours of sunlight. Note that in overly shady spots, these flowers will begin to rot. These will last from early summer through the first frost. We carry these in 6-packs, flats, 4-inch pots, and in the perennial section.
Dichondra
Silver Falls
The silver falls dichondra resembles a silvery waterfall cascading down out of hanging baskets, containers, and window boxes. Never fear, it will creep and trail along your garden beds too! This annual can easily handle full sun, that is six hours or more of direct sunlight a day. It will grow in partial sun as well, but it will not preserve the silver color, or encourage dense growth. This plant does not require pruning, but you can give its trails a trim if you would like a bushier, more compact plant. We carry these in 4-inch pots.
Dusty Miller
Every flower garden needs a neutral foliage go-to plant, and the dusty miller goes along with any color scheme. Its silvery leaves look stunning when paired with purple and blue flowers, but it also pairs well with bright red and orange flowers. This sun lover prefers full sun exposure and might get leggy if placed in a shady spot. Please note, these annual is toxic to dogs and cats so keep an eye on Spot if he goes near the garden. We carry these in 6-packs and flats.
Dahlias
Dahlias are breathtakingly gorgeous late-season flowers that bloom from midsummer through fall in a a wide assortment of colors. A good rule of thumb is to plant your dahlias a few days after your tomatoes. Be sure to plant Dahlias in full sun, water them regularly, and deadhead as needed. We carry these in large planters and 4-inch pots.
Euphorbia*
This deer-resistant annual are hardy and do well with little attention, which makes them easy for most gardeners. Water euphorbia sparingly. Euphorbia do best in full sun to partial shade. Direct sun will lead to more intense and colorful foliage. Too much direct sunlight (more than eight hours) may scald the leaves. We carry these in 4-inch pots.
Fuschia
A humminbird favorite! The striking colors of fushia, along with their nectar-rich blooms will bring the hummingbirds to your backyard! Although fuchsias are considered shade plants, they need lots of light to grow. Be sure the location you choose for these plants receives direct morning sun or filtered sun all day. Fuchsias like their roots moist, but not soggy wet. Water when the surface of the growing medium becomes dry. We carry these in 4-inch pots.

Geranium Care
Geraniums are a longtime favorite of gardeners. With colorful flowers and lovely scents, they grow easily in garden beds, containers, or hanging baskets. Be sure to plant your geraniums in an area with at least six to eight hours of sunlight. Geraniums do require deadheading to encourage blooms throughout the season. We carry these in hangers, planters, and 4-inch pots.
Gerbera Daisies
Gerbera daisies thrive best under full sun but do not like intense heat, so plant them somewhere that receives afternoon shade. Deadheading will extend the blooming period. As these bloom wilt or fade and petals are about to fall off the flower head, deadhead or prune the flower stems to the leaves where they emerge. We carry these in hangers, planters, and 6-inch pots.
Golden Globes
These annuals make a lovely cluster of bright yellow flowers over trailing green foliage. Most gardeners love to use golden globes as accents to baskets, containers or window boxes. We carry these in 4-inch baskets as well as in mixed hanging baskets.
Heliotrope*
These sweethearts are temperate perennials usually grown as annuals, and growing a heliotrope plant will be an additional pleasure for those who live in places with hot, dry summers. They are drought and heat tolerant and do best in more than four hours of direct sunlight per day. Deer are repelled by the fragrance of heliotrope flowers, as well as the rough texture of the leaves. We carry these in 4-inch pots.
Impatiens
Impatiens are not drought tolerant, so these need to be watered daily to prevent dry spells and wilting. Although pruning is unnecessary, feel free to pinch back these fast growers to encourage bushier growth. These need partial shade, ideally morning sun and afternoon shade. We carry these in 6-packs and flats.
SunPatiens
Our name should say it all! SunPatiens are an impatiens hybrid that can withstand full sun in containers and flowerbeds. SunPatiens have a long bloom period stretching from early spring until a heavy frost. The plants are typically larger, bushier, and bloom more than New Guinea impatiens. We carry these in 4-inch pots, 6-inch, and hanging baskets!

Despite its compact, delicate appearance, lobelia does not require a lot of maintenance. Lobelia do not require deadheading, and in fact will clear themselves of all dead flowers. Deer tend to steer clear of Lobelia as well. Though lobelia is typically a plant that prefers more sun than shade, it does, however, tend to decline if subjected to full sun during very hot summers. We carry these in 6-packs, flats, hangers, and 4-inch pots.

Lantana*
Lantana flowers do best in the garden or in containers. Trailing varieties will typically be located in hanging baskets around the greenhouse so keep your eyes peeled. Lantanas make a great choice for those wishing to attract butterflies and hummingbirds! We carry these in mixed baskets and 4-inch pots.
Marigolds
Marigolds have daisy-like flowerheads. When growing marigolds, be sure to deadhead the flowers as they wilt. This will encourage bushier growth, keep the plants from becoming leggy, and will encourage more blooming. Do not water marigolds from overhead. Remember, water these flowers at the base of the plant and not overhead, as this will cause mildew. Plant marigolds in full sun, to partial shade. We carry marigolds in 6-packs, flats, 4-inch pots, and 6-inch pots.
Margureite Daisies
This medium-sized daisy features blooms that span two and a half inches. These daisies can grow up to three feet tall with great bushy foliage when planted in the ground. Make sure these daisies get at least six hours of sunlight a day. However, Marguerite daisies are very temperamental and will not thrive in extremely hot environments so be sure to offer these daisies the comfort of afternoon shade. Deadheading spent flowers will help blooms throughout the growing season. We carry these in 6-packs and flats.
Mexican Heather*
Plant Mexican Heathers in a sunny spot with 6+ hours of direct sunlight per day with well-draining soil. Mexican heathers enjoy water whenever the surface of the soil feels dry to the touch. We carry these in 4-inch pots.
New Guinea Impatiens
Our last variety of Impatiens! The gem-like flowers and foliage of New Guinea impatiens will transform you flower lovers with shady spaces to fill! Surprisingly, these will attract butterflies and hummingbirds for a quick snack! These fast growers will start to bloom early in the season and will last into fall. Plant New Guinea impatiens in a shady location with rich, well-drained soil. We carry these in orange, pink, red, white, and purple in 4-inch pots, hanging baskets, and planters.
Osteopermum*
African Daises
These daisies are native to South Africa and make a beautiful addition to a cut flower garden. Plant African daisies in the early spring right after the threat of frost has passed. African daisies grow best in full sun, and while they can grow in light shade, they will produce fewer flowers. Be sure to deadhead spent blooms to promote growth. We carry yellow, white, and purple varieties in 4-inch pots, mixed baskets, and mixed planters.

Petunias are one of the most popular flowers because of their exceptional blooms and long flowering period. As with most annuals, petunias will get leggy by the middle of summer so we recommend pruning these back to about half their length. Petunias do best in full sun with more than 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. We carry these in 6-packs, flats, hanging baskets, and planters.
Potato Vine
The ornamental sweet potato vines are a classic "spiller" plant perfect for container gardening. These do best when the temperature raises above 50 degrees. They are very tolerant, and can even be grown indoors! Sweet potato vines love the sun but will also grow in partial shade and full shade. The more sun the plant gets, the more vibrant its foliage. We carry these in 4-inch pots, and in mixed hanging baskets.
Salvia*
Our salvia will provide your garden with aromatic blooms that are beloved by bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Typically, salvia does not tend to attract deer or rabbits. Salvia does best in full sun, with more than 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. We carry salvia in 6-packs and flats.
Scaveloa*
The Fan Flower
Scaevola is a sprawling plant with oval or lance-shaped leaves and will produce a non-stop display of fan-shaped flowers from early summer through the first frost. Plant these flowers in full to partial sun for best performance. These will do best with six to eight hours of direct sun. No deadheading required! We carry these in 4-inch pots and mixed hanging baskets.

Strawflowers*
Strawflowers resemble daisies, but their petals are stiff and papery. A fun fact is their leaves are called bracts. Strawflowers thrive in full sun, although they can tolerate part shade. We carry these in 4-inch pots, baskets, and mixed planters.

The mini sunflower! These petite, bright yellow flowers are located on extremely heat-tolerant plants. These do not require any deadheading and are great for gardeners who forget to water. This plant loves a lot of sunlight and warmth, so we recommend planting these in an area with 6+ hours of direct light. While the plant can do partial shade, it will result in less flowering. We carry these in 4-inch pots.
Thunbergia
Clockvines/Black-Eyed Susan vine
Thunbergia is a tropical perennial but is often grown in New England as an annual flowering vine. This is a fast-growing vine that is best when planted as a potted plant. It can extend to 8 feet in one growing season. These require a sunny location, with 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. They also require a supporting trellis or structure to cling to. Luckily, all of our thunbergias come with a starter trellis for your convenience!

These annuals resemble a succulent. Give portulaca full sun. These plants are very very very tolerant of high heat and do best when they receive over 8 hours of direct sun. These flowers are amazing, as they will close when the sun sets, and open when the sun rises. We carry these in red, yellow, orange, salmon or bicolors. We carry these in 4-inch pots, baskets, and mixed hanging baskets and planters.
Vinca Flower
If you love the look of impatiens but need a carefree flowering annual that thrives in full sun, annual vinca is a great choice. While most impatiens wither away in hot, dry weather, vinca does not. In fact, they enjoy an intense summer. These flowers do best with over 6 hours of sunlight. We carry these in 4-inch pots.

Verbena Care
Verbenas require eight to 10 hours of full sun daily. They grow best in well-draining soil. As summer goes on, be sure to pinch verbena back to keep the plants full and encourage more blooms. When flowering slows down, cut back their height by about half. We carry these in 4-inch pots, mixed baskets, and mixed planters.
Vinca Vine
The vinca vine does not require a green thumb to maintain. It is quite hardy and thrives regardless of its gardener. It makes great ground cover, or trailing foliage. Vinca vine grows well in partial to full sun. In partial sunlight, growth might be less extensive. In full sun, the growth will be fast and full so you may need to trim back as needed. We carry these in 4-inch pots, and in mixed baskets and planters.
Our Plant Policy
Plants can be exchanged up to 2 days after purchase with a receipt, and at the same quality in which they were purchased. Once plants leave our greenhouses we do not have the ability to guarantee that the weather, predators, illness, soil and location they are planted in; or the care they receive will ensure that they will thrive or survive. It is up to the gardener to care for their plants. We are happy to offer our guidance and expertise to ensure success with your plants. But, we do not guarantee them.
